NARAL Pro-Choice Washington was founded in 1975 to protect and expand reproductive freedom in Washington state.

Our mission is to develop and sustain a constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every Washingtonian the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and accessing safe and legal abortion care.

NARAL Pro-Choice Washington does issue advocacy, lobbying, and provides information on candidates’ positions on choice. We work with our lobbyist and legislators in Olympia to chart and pass pro-choice legislation and to defeat legislation that would limit a woman's right to choose. Through our Political Action Committee we also provide support to pro-choice candidates running for state and local office.
